This is very exciting. For New Years Day I invented this completely brilliant recipe- it is mine guys, I made it up, all in my head and then for real and served it to the brilliant scientist and anti-libel campaigner Simon Singh and his beautiful, smart wife Anita Anand, a BBC broadcaster and they LOVED IT. You need an oven proof dish like those you use for lasagne and actually this looks alittle like a pasta free, Indian lasagne.

1lb mince lamb- Arab butchers have the best
2 onions finely chopped
5 spring onions finely chopped
2 green or red chillies- quite hot, again finely chopped or 1/2 tsp of chilli powder
salt to taste
2 tsps garam masala
1/2 tsp paprika powder

Topping

4 eggs
salt to taste
3 tbsp grated chedder cheese
4 tbsp sour cream
1 grated courgette.   

you can add chopped chillies if you want.

Beat together 

MEAT

Wash your hands well and then mix it all togther. Flatten it out in the pan.

Heat ove to 200 degrees or gas mark 4

Bake the meat for twenty minutes

Remove from oven and pour out any fat that has been relased.

Top with the egg mix.

Return to oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until teh topping sets and slightly browns

Cover with foil and cook for another 5 mins. Turn of the oven and leave till you need to serve it. Not for too long though.

Serve with a green salad, greek yoghurt and pita bread.
